MPF limited manning Sept. 3-6

Due to an upcoming military exercise, the Military Personnel Flight at Hill Air Force Base will be minimally-manned from Sept. 3-6. Customers can expect delays to include ID card services. The following includes a list of MPF elements and common services that will be impacted: Career development, appointments only, will include PCS out-processing, re-enlistment contracts, and retirement/separations. Anticipate delays on PCS order approvals and walk-ins on a case-by-case/emergency basis. Force management, appointments only, will include personnel record, decoration, and amendment updates. Expect longer delays for evaluation inquiries/process and walk-ins on a case-by-case/emergency basis as well. Customer service, appointments only, for in-processing. 650 North in Clearfield traffic impacts

Lanes at 650 North at I-15 in Clearfield have been reduced to one left-turn lane and one through-traffic lane in both eastbound and westbound directions for bridge construction work. Financial Lunch ‘N Learn – Home Buying

Learn important aspects of home buying that can save you thousands of dollars Aug. 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Veteran’s Day nominations sought

The Kem C. Gardner Policy Institute is collaborating with the Veterans Support Center at the University of Utah to organize a Veterans Day commemoration to honor outstanding veterans in the Utah community. Eleven selected Utah veterans will be honored Nov. 11 in a full military dress ceremony that includes bagpipe procession, medallion presentation, and cannon salute at the University of Utah. 649th MUNS inventory

The 649th Munitions Squadron will conduct 100% inventories of the Base (FV2027), Test (FV2171), and STAMP (FV2304) stockpiles from Sept. 2-30. During the inventories, the only transactions that will be supported are emergency requests approved in writing by a group commander or equivalent. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Lieutenant Professional Development Program

A Lieutenant Professional Development Program (LPDP) course will be held at Hill Sept. 10-13 in building 900 room 10. The course is designed to increase awareness of current Air Force issues, policies, and missions, provide the necessary tools to develop leadership, officership, and management skills, provide the means to enhance camaraderie and network with a cross-section of peers, and provide vital interaction with senior officers, civilians, and enlisted Airmen. Retiree Appreciation Day

Hill Air Force Base will hold an appreciation day for military retirees and dependents from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at The Landing. Presentations and information booths about retiree benefits, base-sponsored recreational opportunities and discount ticket information along with Commissary and Exchange updates will be available. In addition, the Davis County Health Department will be on hand to provide vaccinations for military retirees and dependents with an ID card. Lunch will be available for purchase at The landing. Operation Lightning Strike

Join the Hill Aerospace Museum for Operation Lightning Strike, an after-hours event centered on the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet, from 5:30-9 p.m. Sept. 13. The event will include a catered dinner, F-35 pilot and maintainer panel discussions, F-35 equipment presentations, Q&A, trivia and more. Seating is limited. Cost is $49 per person. 388th MXS munitions inventory

The munitions flight for the 388th Maintenance Squadron will be conducting a 100% inventory (FV3365) Sept. 13-20. All customers requiring munitions support during this timeframe must deliver the applicable documentation to the custody accounts section no later than Sept. 2. During the inventories, the only transactions that will be supported are emergency requests approved in writing by the group commander or equivalent. Call Tech. Sgt. Air Force Ball

The 2019 Team Hill Air Force Ball will be held Sept. 21 at the Ogden Eccles Conference Center, 2415 Washington Blvd. in Ogden. A social will begin at 5 p.m. with a dinner and program starting at 6 p.m. The guest speaker will be retired Air Force Gen. Philip M. Breedlove, former Commander, Supreme Allied Command, Europe, SHAPE, Belgium and Headquarters, U.S. European Command. Dress is mess dress or semi-formal for military, and formal or business attire for civilians. Order tickets by Sept. 19. Cost is $25 for E-4/GS-5 and below; $35 for E-5/E-6, GS-6 to GS-8, WG-10/WL-10/WS-6 and below; and $45 for O-1 and above, SNCOs, GS-9/WG-11/WL-10/WS-7 and above.
