Upgrades for about 11,000 Hill computers began Oct. 8 and will continue through Nov. 9. Computers running the Standard Desktop Configuration 5.3 will be upgraded to SDC 5.5. The upgrade will take about four hours and will run between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Users may experience slower installation time or degraded computer performance if logged in during the update. SDC 5.5 offers new enhancements to address emerging cybersecurity threats. In addition, around 200 of Hill computers running the software “e-Sign” will not be upgraded during the migration period, because e-Sign has yet to be approved for use with SDC 5.5. Call 801-586-TECH (8324) for any migration issues.
