Boater safety class

Attend a boating safety class Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. This official training program meets Utah’s standards for boating safety education. A boat safety permit is required to rent and operate any motor vessel in Utah. Class is limited to the first 20 individuals to sign up. Women’s Equality Day panel

A Women’s Equality Day panel discussion will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 26 at the Airman Leadership School auditorium, building 385. Panel members include a mix of military and civilian women professionals, including Col. Regina Sabric, 419th Fighter Wing commander, Col. Michelle Brown, 75th Aerospace Medicine Squadron commander, Utah Sen. Ann Millner, 18th District, Sandy Fitzgerald, 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group deputy director, and Jarie Muir, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center ICBM Systems Directorate. The panel will raise awareness on how women in the armed forces, public service and government have served the nation by working to clear barriers, enforce laws, and implement new ideas.

Kid’s Favorites Night

As part of member appreciation, a free dinner will be offered to club members and immediate family members Aug. 28 from 5-7 p.m. at The Landing. The night is all about the kids, serving chicken nuggets, macaroni and cheese, fruit, tossed salad, and dessert. Non-members pay $10 Call 801-777-3841 for more information.

Financial Lunch ‘N Learn – Home Buying

Learn important aspects of home buying that can save you thousands of dollars Aug. 29 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. 649th MUNS inventory

The 649th Munitions Squadron will conduct 100% inventories of the Base (FV2027), Test (FV2171), and STAMP (FV2304) stockpiles from Sept. 2-30. During the inventories, the only transactions that will be supported are emergency requests approved in writing by a group commander or equivalent. For more information, call Tech. Sgt. Operation Lightning Strike

Join the Hill Aerospace Museum for Operation Lightning Strike, an after-hours event centered on the F-35 Lightning II fighter jet, from 5:30-9 p.m. Sept. 13. The event will include a catered dinner, F-35 pilot and maintainer panel discussions, F-35 equipment presentations, Q&A, trivia and more. Seating is limited. Cost is $49 per person.
