Salute Picnic Aug. 2
All active duty, Guard and Reserve military and family members are invited to the annual Military Salute Picnic Aug. 2 at Centennial Park. The free picnic will be held from 4-8 p.m. with food service available from 4-7 p.m. The event is organized by the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee. Registration is not required. Additional information is available through the unit first sergeants.
Ditch the Dorm Workshop
Moving out of the dorm? This workshop provides information about the moving process, current and future finances, leases, and applications, and will be held Aug. 2 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Airman and Family Readiness Center. Triathlon Sprint
Participants will complete a 200-yard swim at the Outdoor Pool, 20-kilometer cycle around Perimeter Road, and 5-kilometer run along the Duck Pond route Aug. 3 beginning at 7 a.m. Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female by age group, and the first-place team. Beer Crafting
Curious about diving into beer crafting? This is where you want to be. Ogden City Brew Supply will hold a basics class Aug. 7 from 6-9 p.m. at The Landing. Students will also be provided a $5 gift card to their store. Call The Landing at 801-777-3841 for more information and to sign up.
Kickin’ It for Conservation fair
Hill Air Force Base military, civilians, retirees and families, of all ages, are invited to the fourth annual Kickin’ It for Conservation, an energy and environmental fair, from 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at Centennial Park. There will be displays, booths, hands-on activities, and food. The event will be free and open to those with access to the base. Acrylic Painting Class
Join Arts & Crafts for a fun-filled night of acrylic painting on Aug. 8 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. This class is $25 for three hours of painting instruction. A call for speakers and talent is open through Aug. 22 to participate in TEDx Hill AFB. Hill Air Force Base personnel of any grade with a great story of personal or professional success or inspiration are invited to participate. Nominate yourself or a peer.
