Combat Trafficking in Persons

The Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office will host a Combating Trafficking in Persons Event from 2:30-4 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Chapel Fellowship Hall. The purpose of the event is to provide an opportunity for both base personnel and community partners to attend and increase their awareness and emphasize the importance of combating trafficking in persons. Exchange closures

These Army & Air Force Exchange Service facilities at Hill Air Force Base will close early on the following days for annual inventory: Jan. 23 – AAFES West Gate Gas Station, closes at 1 p.m.; Military Clothing Store, closes at 5 p.m.; and AAFES Express/Class Six, closes at 5 p.m. Jan. 25 – The AAFES Main Store (Base Exchange), will close at 1 p.m. These facilities will reopen the next day at normal hours. The AAFES Food Court, Burger King and Popeye’s will all be open normal hours on these days. For more information, call 801-776-0277, ext. 204.

Healthy Heart Living

The 75th Medical Group is offering a Healthy Heart Living seminar from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Warrior Fitness Center, building 533. The program open to enrolled beneficiaries only and is geared toward patients with hyperlipidemia or hypertension. Explore prevention, mental wellbeing and sleep hygiene, medications, exercise guidelines, nutrition, and cooking. Call the appointment line at 801-728-2600 to register.

Hill AFB finance in-processing

Personnel at Hill can in-process with finance at 9 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at building 430. Per DODFMR Vol. 9, a travel claim must be filed within five working day of the traveler’s return to or arrival at a permanent duty station, or immediately when the orders are canceled. Report suspicious activity

Air Force Security Forces are committed to the security of Hill AFB, but security is everyone’s business. If you see or hear something suspicious, report it. The Air Force has long had a program called “Eagle Eyes” that enlists the eyes and ears of Air Force members and the public. Report suspicious activity to the Eagle Eyes hotline at 801-777-3056.
