Back-to-School Brigade
Join Operation Homefront for a school supply distribution event from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Aug. 10 at Hill Field Elementary, 389 S. 1000 E. in Clearfield.Eligible recipients include active duty, active guard or reserves, or all ranks of post 9/11 wounded, ill or injured. South Gate Visitor Center reopens
The South Gate Visitor Center will reopen at 5 a.m. Aug. 13.The visitor center was closed for approximately four weeks to accommodate renovations to the building. As a result of the reopening, visitor center support temporarily relocated at the West Gate will close at 5 p.m. Aug. 10. Visitor passes can be acquired from the gate guards at the South Gate from Aug. 11-13. The South Gate Visitor Center will be open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The following gate hours are still in effect: West Gate: Open 24 hours; South Gate: Open 24 hours; and Roy Gate: Open 4:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Friday.
Military Salute Picnic
The Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee invites active duty, guard and reserve military members and their families to a Military Salute Picnic from 4-8 p.m. Aug. 17 at Centennial Park. The park is located adjacent to the base’s South Gate. Food will be catered by Roosters, Holy Smoke BBQ & Grill, and MacCool’s Public House and will be served from 4-7 p.m.

Kids bowl free
The Hill Bowling Center has a free summer bowling program for youth ages 15 and younger.
Eligible participants can sign up at www.kidsbowlfree.com and receive two free games of bowling every program day through Aug. 31.

Financial Lunch n’ Learns
Monthly financial workshops covering a variety of topics will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hill Airman and Family Readiness Center. The workshop are available to service members and their families. Lunch is provided for registered attendees. Workshop dates will be Sep. 27, Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6.
