Instagram photos for Veterans Day
SALT LAKE CITY – Sen. Mike Lee announced that he is collecting pictures through Instagram to display in his offices in honor of Veterans Day.
“Utah is home to over 150,000 veterans. While each veteran has their own unique experience in serving our country, our appreciation for their service is universal. As we approach Veterans Day on Nov. 11, I am creating a photo gallery display in my Senate office memorializing the service of Utah’s veterans,” Lee said.
Veterans and their family and friends are invited to share a photograph on Instagram that captures their commitment to country and their willingness to sacrifice, Lee said.
Photos may be historical from their period of active duty or a present day picture. Utahns are asked to share their photos on Instagram using the hashtag #HonorUtahVeterans. Full details on how to participate can be found on lee.senate.gov/UTVETMIL.
Pictures will be collected until Nov. 7. Those who submit photos can also visit lee.senate.gov/UTVETMIL to share the stories behind their photos, and Lee will include these stories in the copy of the first Congressional Record that is published after Congress returns to session following Veterans Day.

Hill Motorcycle Training
All motorcycle safety courses are provided free of charge to military and civilian personnel assigned to Hill AFB. Military training requirements are clarified in (AFI 91-207) Table 4.1. Once a military rider completes the Basic RiderCourse (BRC), which is designed for new beginner riders, they are required to complete a Basic RiderCourse2 (BRC2), ideally within 60 days, but no later than 1 year. Thereafter, every 5 years, riders should complete either the BRC2 or an Advanced RiderCourse – SportBike Techniques (ARC-ST). All military sport bike riders are required to complete a sport bike course. Completing the Military SportBike RiderCourse (MSRC) or the ARC-ST satisfies the Sportbike training requirement. Then every 5 years, riders may complete any Motorcycle Safety Foundation refresher course to satisfy the refresher requirement (i.e., BRC2, MSRC, ARC-ST or any AFSEC approved course). more information, email hill.mc.pgm.mgr@us.af.mil or visit the Hill AFB Motorcycle Training website, which can only be accessed from a Hill government computer, at https://wbhill06p.hill.af.mil/moto/.
