Parking lot closure
A partial closure in Parking Lot #1, located north of the Base Exchange parking lot, will include three double parking rows near the middle of the lot, full length east to west. End roads will remain open. This closure will be in effect from noon on May 21 through 5 p.m. on June 18.
AAPIHM celebration
Team Hill will recognize Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by hosting a festival Friday, May 19, from 4-7 p.m., at the Hill Air Force Base softball fields. CAF museum reopened
The Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force announced the reopening of their museum for the 2017 season May-October, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays or by appointment. The museum is located at the Heber City, Utah, airport. The CAF is a non-profit all volunteer organization. For museum information call 435-709-7269. No federal endorsement intended.
B-25 at Heber City Airport, June 5-12

SR 193 construction
Utah Department of Transportation will begin road repairs on SR 193 from the Hill AFB South Gate east to Highway 89 through July 4. Work will be done at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. This could impact morning traffic going westbound on SR 193 from Highway 89 to the Southgate.
AFMC Family Days observed in 2017
Hill AFB will observe the following AFMC Family Days in 2017: May 26, in conjunction with Memorial Day on May 29; July 3, in conjunction with Independence Day on July 4; Sept. 1, in conjunction with Labor Day on Sept. 4; Nov. 24, in conjunction with Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 23; and Dec. 26, in conjunction with Christmas on Dec. 25. The Hill AFB West Gate will be closed on all holidays including the Nov. 24 AFMC Family Day. Supervisors are encouraged to follow liberal leave procedures for Family Days and may approve annual leave, compensatory time, time-off award, credit hours, or leave without pay for their employees. ‘Plane Talk’ series
The Hill Aerospace Museum hosts a plane talk series featuring speakers related to the heritage of Hill AFB and the U.S. Air Force. Plane Talk is held on Saturdays at 1 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Talks are open to the public. For information, contact 801-777-6818. Admission is free.
AFSA holds monthly meetings on base
The Air Force Sergeants Association holds general membership meetings the last Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in The Landing.
