Kick Butts Day
Yesterday, March 20, was Kick Butts Day, a national day of awareness for smoking cessation, especially among youth. Currently, 95 percent of smokers begin smoking before the age of 21. Join Hill Civilian Health Promotion Services for a new smoking cessation class to learn about the benefits of quitting tobacco, resources available through health insurance and other employee assistance programs. Veterans career, benefits fair
A veteran’s career and benefits fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. March 26 at the Mountain American Exposition Center, 9575 S. State St. in Sandy. 2019 Regional PDI
The American Society of Military Comptrollers Utah Chapter will host a 2019 Regional PDI from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 28 at the Davis Conference Center, 1651 N. 700 W. in Layton. This training event will feature several speakers who will cover topics such as the power of 8s, budget and leadership, Windows tips, congressional and budget process and career development. Women History Month breakfast
A breakfast will be held in observance of Women’s History Month at 8:30 a.m. March 29 at The Landing. The theme for this year’s event will be “Honoring Trailblazing Women” with keynote speaker Chief Master Sgt. Lezlee Masson, 75th Mission Support Group. 649th MUNS March inventories
The 649th Munitions Squadron is conducting 100 percent inventories of the base (FV2027), test (FV2171), and STAMP (FV2304) stockpiles March 1-29. 649th MUNS April inventory

LPDP open to lieutenants
The Company Grade Officers Council will host a Lieutenant Professional Development Program, or LPDP, April 22-25 at the Hill AFB Clinic education and training room, building 570. The purpose of the LPDP is to prepare junior officers to successfully meet the challenges of their Air Force careers and to bridge the professional development gap between their respective commissioning sources and Squadron Officer School. Hill Tax Center open
The Hill Air Force Base Tax Center, located at building 349, room 101, is open until tax day, April 15. Hours of operation will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free tax-return preparation and e-filing will be available to all active-duty and retired service members and family members with incomes of $54,000 or less. SAAPM breakfast
April is Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month and the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) office will host a breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. April 16 at the Hill Aerospace Museum. The theme for this year’s event is Protecting our People Protects our Mission. The guest speaker will be Thomas R. Tremblay, retired chief of police for Burlington, Vermont, a passionate leader for the prevention of domestic and sexual violence. Event registration is required and seating is limited. 419th FW Employer Day
The 419th Fighter Wing will host civilian employers of Reserve personnel during Employer Day May 4. Employer Day serves to thank employers for their support, provide information on the Air Force Reserve, and offer a glimpse into reservists’ role in national defense. The event will feature tours of various mission areas within the wing, including an up-close look at the Air Force’s newest fighter jet, the F-35 Lightning II.
