Kick Butts Day
March 20 is Kick Butts Day, a national day of awareness for smoking cessation, especially among youth. Currently, 95 percent of smokers begin smoking before the age of 21. Join Hill Civilian Health Promotion Services for a new smoking cessation class to learn about the benefits of quitting tobacco, resources available through health insurance and other employee assistance programs. 649th MUNS April inventory
The 649th Munitions Squadron will conduct a 100 percent inventory of the depot (FV2172) stockpile from April 1-30. All depot customers requiring munitions support during this timeframe must deliver the applicable documentation to the custody accounts section no later than March 20. During the inventory, the only transactions that will be supported are emergency requests approved in writing by the group commander or equivalent. 649th MUNS March inventories

Air Force golf camp
Active-duty, Guard and Reserve Airmen interested in participating in the 2019 Golf Trial Camp, and ultimately Armed Forces Golf Championship, have until March to submit their applications to compete. The camp is May 8-14 at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. The Armed Forces Golf Championship, also at Luke AFB, will be May 15-19. Coaches have until March 15 and athletes until March 22 to apply. Women’s soccer trial camp
The application window is now open for the 2019 Armed Forces Women’s Soccer Trial Camp set for April 19-29. The camp is in preparation for the Military World Games Oct. 15-28 in Wuhan, China. Veterans career, benefits fair
A veteran’s career and benefits fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 pm. March 26 at the Mountain American Exposition Center, 9575 S. State St. in Sandy. LPDP open to lieutenants
The Company Grade Officers Council will host a Lieutenant Professional Development Program, or LPDP, April 22-25 at the Hill AFB Clinic education and training room, building 570. The purpose of the LPDP is to prepare junior officers to successfully meet the challenges of their Air Force careers and to bridge the professional development gap between their respective commissioning sources and Squadron Officer School. Hill Tax Center open
The Hill Air Force Base Tax Center, located at building 349, room 101, is open until tax day, April 15. Hours of operation will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Free tax-return preparation and e-filing will be available to all active-duty and retired service members and family members with incomes of $54,000 or less. 419th FW Employer Day
The 419th Fighter Wing will host civilian employers of Reserve personnel during Employer Day May 4. Employer Day serves to thank employers for their support, provide information on the Air Force Reserve, and offer a glimpse into reservists’ role in national defense. The event will feature tours of various mission areas within the wing, including an up-close look at the Air Force’s newest fighter jet, the F-35 Lightning II.
