Commander’s holiday message

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — The holidays are here! This is a very special time of year where we gather with family and friends to give thanks for the blessings in our lives and share tidings with others.

Over the coming days and weeks, many of you will be participating in time honored holiday traditions – family gatherings, office or unit parties, religious events, and traveling to visit relatives and friends.

Please keep safety in mind as you travel back and forth to partake in these festivities. Have fun, make wise decisions, and celebrate responsibly.

As I mentioned last month, the holiday season can be stressful for some of us. Remember to reach out to a teammate who might be alone or facing challenges, and offer your assistance. Also, please take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices that our deployed installation Airmen and their families are making this time of year.

Thank you to the devoted and dedicated Airmen across Team Hill for the phenomenal work you do. I’m thankful for the sacrifices each of you make to employ combat capability, enhance readiness, and improve our base.

The difference you make in your respective work centers have made for a very successful year for our installation! I wish you all a safe, enjoyable holiday and hope you’re able to rest and recharge so you can come back ready and eager to make 2019 an even better year!

Thank you for your commitment to Team Hill, the Air Force, and our great nation. It’s an honor to serve with you!
