Grand re-opening/open house
The Hill AFB ‘Belle of the Ball’ loan closet will host a grand re-opening and open house Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. in its new location, bldg. 152. Events include a ribbon cutting and food will be available. The ‘Belle of the Ball’ program loans out, free of charge, formals and semi-formals to active duty, retirees and their dependents so that they have something beautiful to wear for special occasions and events.
Upcoming legal office closures
The 75th Air Base Wing Legal Office will be closed for official functions, holidays, and an AFMC Family Day as follows:
Dec. 8, 2017, noon-4 p.m. Normal business hours will resume Dec. 11, 2017.
Dec. 14, 2017, 11:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Dec. 15, 2017, 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Normal business hours will resume Dec. 18, 2017.
Dec. 25-26, 2017. Normal business hours will resume Dec. 27, 2017.
Jan. 1, 2018. Normal business hours will resume Jan. 2, 2018.
FEHB health fair
Federal employees health benefits open season runs through Dec. 11. Employees can meet with health insurance representatives during the FEHB health fair to be held at the Warrior Fitness Center, building 533, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 5-7.
Museum welcomes Santa Dec. 9
Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit the Hill Aerospace Museum on Saturday, Dec. 9, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Children can have their photos taken with Santa and treats will be provided. The museum is located near the base’s Roy Gate and entrance is FREE.
Avalanche clinic
The 75th Air Base wing Safety Office will host avalanche awareness clinics Dec. 12, 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., at the base theater. If you or your family are going to spend any time in the snow this year, this will be an important event and might save your life. Bring your family.
Recalled fire extinguishers
Your home, vehicle or kitchen fire extinguisher may be recalled. Kidde extinguishers with plastic handles or push button models are recalled. These extinguishers may not work when needed. If you have a recalled plastic handled or push button fire extinguisher, contact Kidde at 855-271-0773 or online at www.kidde.com and click on ‘Product Safety Recall.’ Do not turn in extinguishers at fire departments.
AFMC Family Days observed in 2017
Hill AFB will observe the following AFMC Family Days in 2017: Dec. 26, in conjunction with Christmas on Dec. 25. The Hill AFB Roy Gate will be closed on all holidays. Supervisors are encouraged to follow liberal leave procedures for Family Days and may approve annual leave, compensatory time, time-off award, credit hours, or leave without pay for their employees. Immunization clinic closure notice
The 75th Medical Group Immunizations Clinic will be closed daily from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Please note that the last sign-in for morning services will be at 11 a.m. In addition, the immunizations clinic closes every Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. for smallpox vaccinations administration.
