AAPIHM celebration
Team Hill will recognize Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month by hosting a festival Friday, May 19, from 4-7 p.m., at the Hill Air Force Base softball fields. Armed Forces Day concert May 20
The Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band will perform May 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City. Activities begin at 4:30 p.m. and admission is free.
Legal office closure
The 75th ABW Legal Office will be closed for an official function noon-4:30 p.m., May 25. Normal business hours will resume May 30 May.
Parking lot closure
A partial closure in Parking Lot #1, located north of the Base Exchange parking lot, will include three double parking rows near the middle of the lot, full length east to west. End roads will remain open. This closure will be in effect from noon on May 21 through 5 p.m. on June 18.
AFMC Family Days observed in 2017
Hill AFB will observe the following AFMC Family Days in 2017: May 26, in conjunction with Memorial Day on May 29; July 3, in conjunction with Independence Day on July 4; Sept. 1, in conjunction with Labor Day on Sept. 4; Nov. 24, in conjunction with Thanksgiving Day on Nov. 23; and Dec. 26, in conjunction with Christmas on Dec. 25. The Hill AFB West Gate will be closed on all holidays including the Nov. 24 AFMC Family Day. Supervisors are encouraged to follow liberal leave procedures for Family Days and may approve annual leave, compensatory time, time-off award, credit hours, or leave without pay for their employees. B-25 at Heber City Airport, June 5-12
A restored B-25 will be available for all to see at Heber City Airport June 5-12, 2017 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily. To reserve a ride aboard Maid in the Shade, contact 435-654-9990.
SR 193 construction
Utah Department of Transportation will begin road repairs on SR 193 from the Hill AFB South Gate east to Highway 89 through July 4. Work will be done at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. This could impact morning traffic going westbound on SR 193 from Highway 89 to the Southgate.
