Mosquito fogging operations underway

The 75th Civil Engineer Squadron’s Pest Management Shop began mosquito fogging operations Tuesday to prevent and control mosquitoes adjacent to Boyer Hill Military Housing, specifically around Pond #3 and the base’s running track areas.

The fogging will be done between 8:30 p.m.-midnight, Tuesdays and Thursdays, until Military Public Health recommends discontinuance, usually in early to mid-October.

Housing residents are encouraged to remain inside during fogging operations. Children should not play in the insecticide fog or run behind the spray equipment. In addition, swamp coolers in the vicinity of the spraying should be turned off while fogging is in progress, per base health and pest management recommendations.

Lost/stolen IDs must be reported

There are new procedures in place for reporting lost or stolen Common Access Cards at Hill Air Force Base.

The cards, used by Team Hill members to enter the base and access computer networks, are controlled documents that contain personal information.

As soon as the discovery is made that a card has been lost or stolen, members must report the issue to the 75th Security Forces Squadron Pass and Identification Office or Emergency Communications Center at 801-777-3056.

They must then visit the 75th Security Forces Squadron in Building 408 and fill out an Air Force Form 1168, explaining the circumstances surrounding the lost or stolen card.

The Form 1168 is required before users can have a new card issued by customer service at the Force Support Squadron in Building 430.

For more information, contact the 75th Force Support Squadron Customer Support  at 801-777-1845, option 3.
