Free Raptors baseball tickets

Hill Air Force Base has received free tickets for the 7 p.m., July 29 Ogden Raptors versus Orem Owlz baseball game at Lindquist Field in Ogden.

The tickets are courtesy of the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee and the Ogden Raptors organization for the annual Hill Appreciation Night at Lindquist Field. Tickets are available to all Team Hill members and families.

Organizations are asked to pick up blocks of tickets for distribution within units. Until the event, tickets can also be picked up at the 75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs Office (located in Building 1102, Room 115) between 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

Commanders’ Cup Golf Tournament set

The 2016 Commanders’ Cup Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Aerospace Heritage Foundation of Utah, will be Sept. 6 at the Hubbard Golf Course. Cost is $150 per golfer and includes green fees, cart, food and prizes. 

Check-in begins at 10:30 a.m., and there will be an awards dinner in the clubhouse after play ends.

Save the date for Air Force Ball

The Team Hill Air Force Ball will be Sept. 17, beginning at 5 p.m. at the Davis Conference Center. theme for the evening will be celebrating “Leaders, Warriors and Innovators.”

Military dress will be mess dress or semi-formal. Civilian dress will be formal attire. 

On-site childcare is available, and the Airman and Family Readiness Center has a “Bell of the Ball” gown rental shop. Ticket prices are to be determined. 

Safety hotline number changes

The 75th ABW Installation Safety Office has changed its hotline number.

Please change any references from 801-777-5991 to 801-777-SAFE (7233). The old number will no longer be assigned to the Installation Safety Office, but for the short term will contain a message directing callers to the new number.

Use 777-SAFE to report all hazards, near misses, mishaps, and for any safety-related questions or concerns.

Family days for 2016

AFMC has designated the following days as “AFMC Family Days” for 2016:

Friday, Sept. 2 in conjunction with Labor Day.

Friday, Nov. 25 in conjunction with Thanksgiving Day.

Tuesday, Dec. 27 in conjunction with Christmas.

Nov. 25 will also be an “Energy Shutdown Day” and the West Gate will be closed this day and all holidays. Employees working compressed work schedules will change their regular day off to align with the family Energy Shutdown Day. Supervisors are encouraged to follow liberal leave procedures during the family days.

ROTC accepting applications

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-RANDOLPH, Texas — Air Force officials have announced 95 projected Air Force ROTC detachment instructor vacancies for summer 2017.

Eligible officers include active-duty first lieutenants, captains or majors in the line of the Air Force competitive category. Additional eligibility criteria must be met; rated officers and Guard and Reserve officers are not eligible to apply.

Interested officers can search for eligibility and application procedures on the myPers website using the keyword “AFROTC.”

For more information about Air Force personnel programs, go to the myPers website. Individuals who do not have a myPers account can request one by following the instructions on the Air Force Retirees Services website. 

AFSA holds monthly meetings on base

Air Force Sergeants Association, holds general membership meetings the last Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. in The Landing. 

Members are encouraged to bring a nonmember with them.

Protect yourself and your identity

Having your identity used to cheat you out of your hard-earned money can be devastating, and recovering financially from it can be an uphill battle.

If you think you’ve recently been a victim of identity theft, your EAP can help you take the necessary steps to minimize the damage and protect your credit rating. Lost/stolen IDs must be reported

There are new procedures in place for reporting lost or stolen Common Access Cards at Hill Air Force Base.

The cards, used by Team Hill members to enter the base and access computer networks, are controlled documents that contain personal information.

As soon as the discovery is made that a card has been lost or stolen, members must report the issue to the 75th Security Forces Squadron Pass and Identification Office or Emergency Communications Center at 801-777-3056. 

They must then visit the 75th Security Forces Squadron in Building 408 and fill out an Air Force Form 1168, explaining the circumstances surrounding the lost or stolen card. 

The Form 1168 is required before users can have a new card issued by customer service at the Force Support Squadron in Building 430.
