Breitling Jet Team, other civilian acts slated for 2016 ‘Warriors Over the Wasatch’ show

HILL AIR FORCE BASE — The seven-jet precision Breitling Jet Team from Europe will perform during the “Warriors Over the Wasatch” open house and air show June 25-26.

Flying the Czech-produced L-39 Albatros, the Breitling team performs a “meticulously coordinated ballet in which planes fly sometimes within 3 meters of each other.”

With the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and U.S. Army Golden Knights already scheduled to headline, the addition of the Breitling team has Warriors Over the Wasatch organizers excited for what will be one of the “best air show’s Utah has ever seen.”

Other scheduled acts include:

• Dan Buchanan flying unpowered glider

• Kirby Chambliss flying Red Bull Edge 540

• Greg Colyer flying the T-33

• Jerry Conley flying the De Havilland Vampire

• David Erickson flying the Zlin Z-50

• Greg Koontz flying a jet powered biplane

• Mellissa Pemberton flying the Edge 540

• Mark Peterson flying P-51 and Alpha Jet

• Buck Roetman flying the Pitts S-2S

• Gary Rower flying the 1941 Steerman

• Paul “Sticky” Strickland L-39 solo flight

• Mike Wiskus flying the Lucas Oil Pitts

The acts and aircraft are subject to change. A more detailed list, including military and civilian “static display” and demonstration aircraft will be made available as the air show approaches at www.hill.af.mil.
