DEERS hotline

Due to recent intermittent DEERS system connectivity, a DEERS status hotline has been set up. Hill AFB customers can call 801-777-4000 to check the system status prior to coming over to building 430 to renew their Common Access Card, or CAC. As a reminder, customers can also schedule an appointment 90 days prior to their CAC expiration date at https://rapids-appointments.dmdc.osd.mil/.

Military Saves Week

Military members and their spouses can attend one or a series of Military Saves Week workshops for a chance to win a $200 gift card or one of two $50 gift cards. The workshops are focused on helping military families build wealth, not debt. Workshops are held at the Airman and Family Readiness Center in building 150. Call the A&FRC at 801-777-4681 for details and to register.

ALS open to civilians

Eligible civilian employees can attend Hill AFB Airman Leadership School on a space available basis from April 9-May 10. The course is focused on the military profession and teaches skills to effectively lead and manage teams. Civilian students also gain a better understanding of how to supervise military members. Hiring Utah’s Heroes career fair

A career fair will be held March 20 at Mountain America Exposition Center (formerly South Towne) located at 9575 South State Street in Sandy. The fair is free and open to military members, veterans and their spouses. More than 90 of the state’s top employers will be in attendance. Call Mark Harrison at 801-432-4536 for details.

Soccer players wanted

Military, civilians and family members are wanted to form a Hill AFB soccer team. The team will play in a Utah-based soccer league from April-October. It will also participate in the All-military Soccer Tournament in San Antonio, Texas, over Labor Day weekend. The tournament includes multiple teams from across the armed forces. Hill AFB Tax Center

The Hill AFB Tax Center will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through April 17 in room 101 of building 349 located at 6th Street and B Lane. Tax return preparation is a free service for active duty, reservists on orders, dependents, and military retirees with an individual income less than $54,000. Call 801-777-1040 for details.
