Military spouse career information
The Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Professional Network is coming to Hill AFB. Any military spouse currently in or seeking a professional career can learn more by attending the organization’s launch party on Jan. 18, 2018, at the Hill AFB Log Cabin. This inaugural event will give spouses an opportunity to network with others and learn more about upcoming professional development seminars. Food will be provided and the event will run from 5-8 p.m. so spouses may drop in any time.
If the launch party is not feasible, military spouses (active, reserve, guard, and veteran) may join the Facebook group for HMSPN Hill to stay updated on upcoming events as well as employment and professional development information for the local area. The local chapter plans to address requests for information on local colleges, federal employment, salary negotiation, and more in 2018. The aim of these networking and information sessions, to be held monthly, is to connect military spouses with professional careers to each other and to the larger community to combat the difficulty of building a professional network as a military spouse. For more information on the Facebook group, getting involved, or other questions, please contact Danielle Lankford at dlankford@thesharingplace.com.
