Q: My daughter is doing a service project for the Miss West Point contest. She is collecting things to send to our service men and women who are deployed from Hill AFB. She would like to know who she can get in contact with to make sure these items get sent to the members of Team Hill.

A: First, we’d like to thank your daughter for remembering our men and women stationed overseas. Unfortunately, we do not directly send care packages to troops from Hill AFB or any other DOD installation.

However, there are many avenues she may be able to pursue. The following is a DOD link to care package organizations: www.ourmilitary.mil/care-packages. Some of them have selection options for branch of service, locations, etc.
