Air Force Reserve captain brings home gold

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Capt. Sterling Broadhead, 67th Aerial Port Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, and his team earned a gold medal during the Law of Armed Conflict event at the Inter-allied Confederation of Reserve Officers Military Competition held in Tallinn, Estonia, earlier this month.

The MILCOMP is an annual event that brings together reservists and guardsmen from 12 countries to compete in various activities that showcase military readiness. Competitors represent some of the most ready and lethal elements of the NATO Reserves that serves as a significant deterrent to aggression across Europe.

Participants are chosen based on rigorous standards in running, swimming, shooting and orienteering. This marks the fourth year Broadhead has been selected to represent the United States and Air Force Reserve.
