Renovations underway at building 430

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Two phases of construction inside building 430 will begin this month and are expected to last until mid-January.

The building houses a number of Hill’s customer service organizations, including the Common Access Card Office where base IDs are issued and renewed. Base officials are asking in advance for everyone’s patience as much-needed improvements are made to the building to make it more customer friendly.

During the first phase of construction that began Oct. 15, the Team Hill Conference Room will be turned into a consolidated customer waiting area in order to provide for more space in the main foyer. In addition, the Common Access Card Office will be relocated to the front of the building and joined with the Base Pass/ID Office.

While this construction is underway, the entrance to building 430 will be transitioned to the building’s west entrance, which is the side closest to the Hill AFB Commissary.

A second phase of construction is scheduled to begin in the mid-December. It will include rearranging the AFSC, AFPC, FSS Manpower & Civilian Personnel Sections, and the LRS Q/A & TMO Sections within the building to ensure these customer-service focused organizations are easily accessible toward the front of the building.

Throughout the construction, customers will continue to sign in at the kiosk and proceed to their designated waiting areas until a representative is able to assist them.
