Sports STEM Camp
This sports camp is for youth ages 9-18 and is intended to teach them the science behind sports followed by practical applications of the lessons learned. Participants will hone their skills in soccer, basketball, football and other sports while learning the physics of each sport. This camp will be July 30-Aug.3 at the Rising Star Sports Ranch in Mesquite, Nev. Youth will stay in hotel rooms and includes buffet style meals. Financial Lunch n’ Learns
Monthly financial workshops covering a variety of topics will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hill Airman and Family Readiness Center. The workshop are available to service members and their families. Lunch is provided for registered attendees. Workshop dates will be Aug. 2, Sep. 27, Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 6. Back-to-School Brigade
Joint Operation Homefront for a school supply distribution event from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 10 at Hill Field Elementary, 389 S. 1000 E. in Clearfield. Eligible recipients include active duty, active guard or reserves, or all ranks of post 9/11 wounded, ill or injured. South Gate Visitor Center closure
The South Gate Visitor Center is currently closed through Aug. 10 for renovations. During this time, all customer service functions are at the West Gate Visitor Center located just east of I-15 exit 335. The West Gate Visitor Center is open 5 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Military Salute Picnic
The Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee invites active duty, guard and reserve military members and their families to the Military Salute Picnic from 4-8 p.m. Aug. 17 at Centennial Park. The park is located adjacent to the base’s South Gate. Food will be catered by Roosters, Holy Smoke BBQ & Grill, and MacCool’s Public House and will be served from 4-7 p.m. The family-friendly event will also include live entertainment, a bounce house, face painting, a mechanical bull and more. Kids bowl free
The Hill Bowling Center has a free summer bowling program for youth ages 15 and younger. Eligible participants can sign up at www.kidsbowlfree.com and receive two free games of bowling every program day through Aug. 31. Call 801-777-6565 for more information.

Air Force Security Forces are committed to the security of Hill AFB, but security is everyone’s business. If you see or hear something suspicious, report it.
