Cross-country season

The Warrior Fitness Center sponsors a cross-country program that started in April. The last race will be held at 4:20 p.m. today. The course is 5K in length. Runners, walkers and baby strollers are all welcome. Individual and team registrations are offered. Call 801-586-1909 or email randall.thomas.1@us.af.mil for the race location and other details.

Mental Health Awareness Month

Everyone deals with life stressors, but not everyone has the coping skills to work through the stressors. May is Mental Health Awareness Month and there are multiple agencies willing to listen and provide you support throughout the year if you need it. For more information or to reach a helping agency, contact Hill AFB Mental Health at 801-777-7909, the Crisis Line at 800-273-8255 (option 1) or Military One Source at 800-342-9647.

Kick-off to Summer

The 75th Force Support Squadron will host a free Kick-off to Summer event for Hill AFB families at 4 p.m. June 1 at Centennial Park. Listen to the band “No Limits” and enjoy a free Texas Roadhouse dinner beginning at 5 p.m. while supplies last. Reading activities, Dartside, a foam pit, and a beer garden will be available. Wheels of Wonder

The 75th Force Support Squadron will host Wheels of Wonder from 2:30-4:30 p.m. June 8 near the base’s Child Development Centers. A variety of on- and off-base vehicles will be on hand for children and families to explore. Giveaways, prize drawings and snacks will be provided. Call 801-775-2084 for details.

Spouse Newcomers Info Fair

A newcomer’s fair for spouses will be held from 6-8 p.m. June 13 at The Landing. Attendees will learn about benefits, jobs, and education opportunities. Meet new spouses, sample menu items and check out vendors. Win prizes such as movie tickets, gift cards, and free meals. Children are welcome. Childcare is also available if you register in advance. Report suspicious activity

Air Force Security Forces are committed to the security of Hill AFB, but security is everyone’s business. If you see or hear something suspicious, report it. The Air Force has long had a program called “Eagle Eyes” that enlists the eyes and ears of Air Force members and the public. Report suspicious activity to the Eagle Eyes hotline at 801-777-3056.
