The Band Perry visits Hill AFB

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — The Band Perry visited civilian and military Airmen and toured several facilities here before performing a free show for the base at Centennial Park, June 2.

Before the show, band members visited the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Flight, 729th Air Control Squadron, and the base control tower. While visiting 388th Fighter Wing Airmen, they had a chance to get an up-close look at an F-35A Lightning II aircraft.

“We’ve been on several bases before but this is the first time we’ve actually done a full-blown tour,” said Reid Perry. “It’s been interesting talking to everyone and seeing what their different responsibilities are…and how way more complicated their lives are than mine. It’s been great.”

The show kicked off later in the afternoon with opening acts including local talent and Changing Lanes Experience. The Band Perry headlined, performing before hundreds of base personnel and family members.

The free event also included family activities, free food, and medieval demonstrations.
