Some changes coming to the Hill AFB Clinic

HILL AIR FORCE BASE — In order to align primary health care at Hill AFB with the Air Force Medical Service, the 75th Medical Group will consolidate the Airmen Clinic and the Family Health Clinic on Jan. 13.

This move will require some primary care manager changes for patients in an effort to balance the number of patients assigned to each provider.

To help facilitate this change, the Pediatric Clinic and the Women’s Health Clinic will move to a new location next to the Flight Medicine and Operational Medicine Clinics. This area will include a pediatric waiting area specifically for families with young children.

The Medical Group will also be implementing a Base Operational Medicine Cell. The Cell will perform most military-specific and occupational functions resulting in reliable and accurate profiles, retraining and security clearance determinations.

Once fully implemented the Cell will also complete and manage active-duty Preventive Health Assessments, Medical Evaluation Boards, and retirement physicals.

The transition to a Base Operational Medicine Cell begins this month and will be implemented in phases over the next 12 to 24 months.

Throughout the transition, the 75th MDG pledges to continue to provide safe and high-quality care to all patients and beneficiaries.
