Q:The outbound traffic markings on the road immediately outside the West Gate are not painted appropriately. In my opinion, this is a safety hazard and has nearly caused an accident on more than one occasion as people rush to get off base.

A:  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  This specific area is maintained and governed through our Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) partnership with the Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA). MIDA is coordinating the resolution (removing the dashed lines and painting a solid white line) with the EUL developer and the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT). Once MIDA and UDOT approve the suggested changes, the installation’s civil engineer group will work with MIDA to get the modifications completed.
