Spoo-FIT-icular fitness event fun for all

The Hill Air Force Base Warrior Fitness Center offered the spooky and sweaty Spoo-FIT-icular fitness event Oct. 25. for interested participants in the cardio room. Participants came and sweated their Saturday morning away in these free classes offered during this fitness party.

As a way to show their appreciation to those involved at the Warrior Fitness Center, the Hill Air Force Base Millennium Fitness Staff offered this Spoo-FIT-icular fitness event: “the Spoo-FIT-icular is something the Millennium Fitness Staff and I offer for our population to say our thanks for their support,” said Devin Gongora, a Configuration Management Specialist for the 309th Software Maintenance Group.

Back-to-back fitness classes were offered to anyone ages 13 and up with gym access. Classes included cardio-yoga fusion, Zumba, hot hula, and yoga with weights. As always, all fitness levels were welcome to participate.

One participant, Sandi Broadhead, attended saying, “I went mainly to switch up my usual routine of weights and cardio with some booty-shaking, feel-good, stress-relieving Zumba. I also enjoyed the instructor and the fun people who came out. They made the class worth it.”

Classes were offered from 8 a.m. to noon for 60 minutes each. Costumes were optional but welcomed for additional Halloween fun.
