OGDEN — The Junction City Roller Dolls annual military appreciation game begins at 6 p.m. on July 19 at the Golden Spike Events Center, 1000 N. 1200 West in Ogden. Doors open at 5 p.m. All military members and veterans can purchase buy-one, get-one-free tickets with valid military identification.
The evening begins with Junction City’s Trainwrecks playing the Durango Derailers. At half time, there will be a special tribute our nation’s men and women in uniform, past and present. This game will be immediately followed by a second game featuring of the Junction City LOCO-Motives and Portneuf Valley Bruisers.
Tickets are $10 in advance from Junction City skaters, Sock Monkey’N Around Antiques on 25th Street in Ogden, online at www.jcrdolls.com or www.brownpapertickets.com.
Otherwise, tickets are $12 for adults at the door, military with ID tickets are $10 and kids 12 and younger are free.
The Junction City Roller Dolls are a skater-owned league and a member of the international Women’s Flat Track Derby Association. The league is focused on developing independent, strong, female athletes by promoting sisterhood, teamwork and family.
Each member is encouraged to express her athleticism, showmanship, and dynamic personalities in a fun and exciting atmosphere. In addition, Junction City Roller Dolls encourages active involvement by teaming up with affiliations that better the community as a whole.
