HAWC Lunch and Learn classes a chance to empower and educate

Caregiver classes are being offered at the Health and Wellness Center, Building 533, from 11 a.m. until noon Sept. 14, 21 and 28. If you are the caregiver of another who is elderly, frail, disabled, or has a chronic disease then this class is for you! Avoid caregiver burnout and learn how to take care of yourself and those that you love. Attend one or all four classes. "Exercise for Seniors" will be the theme for the Sept. 14 class, which will be taught by Matthew Ham of the Life Care Center of Bountiful. "Relaxation Techniques" will be the theme for the Sept. 21 class and will be taught by Ann Dowdy of the Applegate Home Health and Hospice. "Increase Your Energy" will be the theme for the Sept. 28 class and will be taught by -Jodi Carnahan of the Hospice for Utah.

A two-part class titled "The Role of Personality in Relationships (Using the MBTI)" will be offered at the Health and Wellness Center, Building 533, from 11 a.m. until noon Sept.15 and 17. In relationships, opposites often do attract and unfortunately these same opposites can eventually begin to "repel" each other. In this class, taught by Daryl Sondrup of Family Advocacy, you will identify your unique personality type and how your type interacts with your friend or spouse's type. You will also learn to understand and respect the "differences" in your relationships, leading to less misunderstandings and potential conflict. The HAWC requests attendees sign up for both parts.
