Fun for Airmen and volunteers helping with 'End of Summer'

All Airmen, grade E-4 and below, are invited to an End of Summer Bash because, "We just want to make sure our Airmen know that they are greatly appreciated and their families." said Staff Sgt. Leguiya Jordan, of the 75th Force Support Squadron.

Events are planned throughout a three-day period starting with a picnic at Centennial Park on Sept. 30, beginning at 4:30 p.m. including free food, a DJ, prize giveaway, and a bouncy castle for the kids.

On Oct. 1, get your game on playing Madden and Rock Band at the Junior Enlisted Center, Building 524. A $5 donation is requested and the winner could walk away with up to $250 in prize money. For more information, contact Sam Ingram, 777-6615.

On Oct. 2, there will be a block party in the parking lot by the softball field near the South Gate. Live bands, DJs, free food, games and bouncy castle will be featured at the event beginning at 5 p.m.

Jordan said, "We want our Airmen to know we recognize their sacrifice and all that they do, and we appreciate their support in the military and in the Air Force."

Volunteers are still being sought, particularly those that are not Airmen, E-4 and below, as the organizing committee would like the Airmen and their families to be free to enjoy the events.

For more information or to volunteer, contact Master Sgt. George Vara, at george.vara@hill.af.mil or Staff Sgt. Leguiya Jordan at leguiya.jordan@hill.af.mil.
