DALLAS – The Army & Air Force Exchange Service is helping customers take the guesswork out of eating on the go at Exchange food courts worldwide.
The Exchange’s new ‘Build a Better You’ directs diners to better-for-you-options at Exchange restaurants through videos and social media posts with advice on how to fuel readiness and resiliency.
“When it comes to nutrition, knowledge is everything,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Luis Reyes, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “The Exchange’s Build a Better You campaign provides warfighters and their families with the information they need to make better-for-you choices while visiting Exchange food courts.”
Warfighters and families can visit the BE FIT section of the Exchange’s Hub page located at ShopMyExchange.com/Community to see nutrition videos from the Exchange’s BE FIT ambassador, Roy Montez. The Exchange’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages will feature Build a Better You content as well.
Restaurant coupons, highlighting better-for-you options from Charleys, Subway and others are available twice a month in the Exchange sales flyer and updated quarterly online. Shoppers can download coupons valid through Oct. 31 at ShopMyExchange.com.
As a partner in the Air Force Smart Fueling initiatives under the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Operation Live Well, the Exchange provides better-for-you menu choices in support of warfighters’ readiness and resiliency.
Exchange food courts already feature signing that shoppers can easily scan to access nutritional guidelines on their smartphones and make informed dietary decisions.
