Kelly D. Capener (center) accepts the guidon from Brig. Gen. Steven J. Bleymaier, Ogden Air Logistics Complex commander, during the 309th Software Maintenance Group change of leadership ceremony on July 29, at Hill Air Force Base. Capener assumed leadership of the group from Karl G. Rogers (right). Capener’s previous assignment was Director, 309th Commodities Maintenance Group. The 309th SMXG employs more than 1,500 personnel and is responsible for software maintenance and development for many Department of Defense weapon systems.
