HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Airman 1st Class Lucas White, 75th Security Forces Squadron, was recently awarded the coveted Top 3 Superior Performer Award.
The award recognizes the hard work of Team Hill’s Airmen on and off duty.
White has been in the Air Force for 2 years and is from Santa Clarita, California. His main focus at this time is to progress in his career, but has a long term goal of getting out of the military and moving back home to become a firefighter. He enjoys snowboarding, shooting guns and camping.
White’s supervisor said that White was instrumental in stopping a potentially hostile gate runner at West Gate. White immediately activated the barrier system and initiated a high-risk traffic stop, securing the area and apprehending the suspect.
Additionally, White evacuated approximately 60 personnel and established a cordon for a chlorine gas leak at building 727, ensuring the safety of hundreds of personnel.
“Lastly, he volunteered at the Pioneers Day Rodeo carrying the American Flag during the National Anthem reflecting great credit to the unit and the United States Air Force,” said White’s supervisor.
The Team Hill Top 3 solicits for Superior Performer nominations each month. If you would like to nominate one of your hardworking Airmen between the ranks of E-1 through E-6, contact Master Sgt.
