HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Construction of new curbs and gutters, a drainage system and repaving of the asphalt began April 15 at Parking Lot 1. The heavily used parking lot located at the corner of Wardleigh Boulevard and E Avenue will be completed in two phases.
Phase 1 is underway on the south side of the lot through May 17. Phase 2 of the lot’s middle section is scheduled to occur May 18 through June 8.
According to the 75th Civil Engineer Squadron, base personnel will not be able to park in these areas during each of the construction periods.
People deploying or going TDY will be allowed to park their vehicles long term in southeast corner building 849 parking lot located off of F Street. Vehicle owners who can’t be reached and who park in lot 1 will have their vehicles towed to the building 849 lot.
Kevin Patzer with the 75th CES said Parking Lot 1 is long overdue for repairs and crews will strive to complete the project on time. The construction schedule is contingent upon weather conditions and could be subject to delays.
