HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Instead of his classic reindeer and sleigh, jolly old Saint Nicholas flew to Hill in a classy F-35 Lightning II to visit reservists of the 419th Fighter Wing and their families at the annual holiday party.
Reservists took time during their monthly training weekend to join the celebration. Families enjoyed the festivities, which included a bouncy house, cookie decorating, and making reindeer food. After arriving in the Air Force’s newest fighter jet, Santa greeted the children and passed out gifts.
“I feel blessed to be able to spend time with my family and coworkers at the holiday party,” said Capt. Joshua Skoglund, operations officer for the 67th Aerial Port Squadron. “My kids are convinced that I have a bouncy house at work.”
The family holiday party is one way the 419th FW expresses its gratitude for all that the reservists do.
