HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Concerned about the soaring cost of higher education for your dependents? Maybe the Air Force Aid Society can help.

Under the General Henry H. Arnold Education Grant Program, the Society awards grants ranging from $500 to $4,000 depending on each student’s particular level of need, with the highest levels of assistance going to the students who have the greatest need.

The program is offered to dependent sons and daughters of Active Duty, Title 10 AGR/Reservists on extended active duty, Title 32 AGR performing full-time active duty, Retired, Retired Reservists with 20 or more years of qualifying service, and deceased Air Force members.

Spouses of Active duty and Title 10 AGR/Reservists on extended active duty; and surviving spouses of deceased members are also eligible candidates.

Generally, more than 70 percent of all applicants are selected.
