HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — The 67th Aerial Port Squadron from the 419th Fighter Wing was recently named Military Unit of the Year by the National Defense Transportation Association, which recognizes individuals and units from government, military, and private sectors for outstanding achievement in logistics.
The NDTA honored the squadron for their contributions to Operation Inherent Resolve and various military exercises, including Red Flag, Patriot Warrior, and Combat Archer.
In 2016, 31 reservists from the 67th APS volunteered to participate and deploy around the world, which resulted in 14,063 missions involving movement of 108,668 passengers and 304 million pounds of cargo.
The 67th APS is home to about 180 Reserve Airmen who live and work near Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
