Families enjoy Haunting on the Hill

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Goblins, ghouls, and ghosts mixed with movie superheroes and gaming characters during this year’s annual Haunting on the Hill event, Oct. 20, 2017.

A break in the windy weather brought a good crowd to The Landing for Halloween candy, food, fun and activities.

Trunk-or-Treat volunteers went all out with costumes and decorated cars for children collecting treats car-to-car in the filled parking lot. Explosive Ordnance Disposal’s haunted truck and the fire engine were kid favorites, both of which were near the volunteers who were giving out treats.

Inside the club, families enjoyed many activities such as a haunted hallway, ‘scaryoke,’ an illusionist performance, spooky storytelling, and a cake walk.

This year’s Trunk-or-Treat volunteer contest winners were: 1st place Hocus Pocus; 2nd place Girl Scouts/Witches; and 3rd Place 75th Medical Group Circus.

The abundance of treats, activities, and creative costumes made for a safe, wonderful night of delight for both children and parents. Thanks to the numerous creative and friendly volunteers and the 75th Force Support Squadron, this event consistently provides a great way to celebrate the Halloween holiday with a free, fun-filled evening for many military and base civilian families.
