The 2014 Airmen Cookie Drive was a huge success. Volunteers worked diligently to gather, bake, bag and deliver thousands of cookies to Airmen at Hill Air Force Base and others in the community.
“The club was extremely accommodating and allowed us to bake and bag at the club,” said Karin Landrum, a spouse from the 388th FW who headed up this year’s event. “Through donations of cookies and dough, we were able to deliver roughly 14,000 cookies to our single Airmen in the dorms, Airmen working 24 hour work stations, and squadrons on base.”
Volunteers worked long hours to allow this event to go smoothly.
“It was a Team Hill effort with volunteer spouses from around the Team Hill helping with donations, baking, bagging and delivery,” Landrum said. “Many thanks to our first shirts who delivered the vast majority of the cookies to our Airmen.”
