The Hill Air Force Base Gerrity Memorial Library hosted its Holiday Open House for the Hill community on Dec. 5.
The staff hopes events like this one bring the community together and that everyone feels appreciated during this holiday season.
The library transformed into a winter wonderland for families to explore and enjoy. Children were able to visit with Santa and have their picture taken while sharing their wish lists.
The cotton candy machine was a hit with children as they walked away with their own stick of pink or blue cotton candy. Cookies, treats, and a hot chocolate bar complete with specialty toppings was also available for guests.
Hill community helpers included the fire department, security forces, and the medical group, and read stories and visited with children.
Families had the chance to be creative with holiday crafts. Children were able to make ornaments to take home for decoration and small gifts were also available for children to choose from such as art supplies, games and stuffed animals.
