Since May of this year, the Hill Air Force Base Landing has been hosting Karaoke Nights with KJ Wyldfire of Utah’s Best Karaoke. Coordinators at The Landing added Karaoke to the schedule based on feedback from Hill AFB Airmen wanting more activities to boost morale and well-being. 

The Landing hosts Karaoke each Friday night at 5 p.m. with KJ Wyldfire, however, themed karaoke nights will occur on the last Friday of each month — beginning with the upcoming ’80s Night Karaoke Throwback. 

This exciting event, on Sept. 26, will feature hits from popular ’80s music stars — selections from Whitney Houston, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Tina Turner, Bon Jovi, Prince, The Boss, and more. Participants are encouraged to dress in their greatest ’80s apparel to add to the theme and atmosphere of the evening — think extra layers of blue eye shadow, parachute pants, leg warmers, and Ray-Bans.

“Our goal at The Landing is to provide exciting entertainment for our Club Members and patrons, to give them value for their membership, as well as enhancing the quality of life for our military members,” said The Landing Food & Beverage Manager, Janelle Brown. “Featured programs give our members a chance to relax and unwind after a long week of work as well as building camaraderie and boosting morale.”

The upcoming ‘80s Night Karaoke is open to all ID card holders. The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs until closing at 9 p.m. Drink and food specials will be available. For more information about this throwback event, or other upcoming karaoke events, please call 801-777-3841.
