OGDEN, Utah — July 13 was Military Appreciation Night at Lindquist Field. The Ogden Raptors faced off against the Missoula Osprey.
Each year, Ogden’s minor league baseball team partners with the Top of Utah Military Affairs Committee to offer tickets to Hill Air Force Base personnel and their families.
Before the game, the Hill Honor Guard marched the American flag onto the field for the singing of the national anthem, and Col. Jon Eberlan, 75th Air Base Wing commander, threw the game’s ceremonial first pitch.
In addition, some family members from the base were invited to participate in on-the-field activities in between the game’s innings.
The Raptors are an advanced rookie affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Raptors wore their blue, camouflaged military appreciation uniforms at the game in honor of the nation’s service members.
The Raptors won the game 11-4.
