HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Federal civilian employees interested in reviewing their healthcare benefits are invited to attend a health fair that begins as early as next month.
The fair is held in conjunction with Federal Employees Health Benefits “open season.”
Open season, which runs Nov. 13 through Dec. 11 this year, gives employees the opportunity to enroll in a flexible spending account; enroll in, change, or cancel an existing enrollment in a dental or vision plan under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program; and enroll in, change, or cancel an existing enrollment in a health plan under the FEHB program.
Employees can meet with health insurance representatives during the health fair held at the Warrior Fitness Center located in building 533 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov.7-9 and Dec. 5-7.
In addition, the Office of Personnel Management will give a one-hour presentation about federal employee insurance benefits Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Base Theater. A question and answer session will be held at each presentation.
Information regarding FEHB, FEDVIP, and the Flexible Spending Account program, along with 2018 premiums will be available at the health fair and can also be located on the OPM website at http://www.opm.gov/insure.
Employees who opt to make open season enrollments or changes to their benefits can submit a transaction on the Government Retirement and Benefits system web application.
Instructions for submitting an FEHB transaction online:
1. Open your web browser and go to https://mypers.af.mil. Choose a login option and access the MyPers website.
2. Navigate to and click on the Government Retirement and Benefits (GRB) Platform (formerly EBIS). This will take you to the AFPC Secure website. Click OK.
3. The AFPC Secure website will open up. Navigate to and click on GRB Platform (formerly EBIS). Here the GRB Platform website will open. Click Launch.
4. A new window will appear. Click the Health Insurance box and then navigate to and click Submit a FEHB Transaction.
