75th ABW Sports Day

The 75th Air Base Wing will be hosting its sports and fun day, called the "75th ABW Buffalo Run and Roundup," Thursday, Sept. 23 at the Warrior Health and Fitness Center, and will go from noon until 4 p.m.

The sports day provides a series of events and activities to promote fitness, esprit de corps and quality of life for the wing.

Other squadrons and organizations at Hill Air Force Base are also invited to attend.

The planned events are grouped as individual, team and recreational activities, with individual events having both male and female categories. Several specified events require pre-registration by Monday, Sept. 21, and exact format for team sports will be determined based on the results of the pre-registrations.

At the conclusion of all events, the squadron or support unit with the most points will receive the 2009 75th ABW "Strongest Buffalo Herd" trophy, presented by Col. Patrick Higby, 75th ABW commander. Additionally, first place individuals in each event will receive a 75th ABW buffalo T-shirt.

To sign up for the sports day events or to get more information, call the 75th Force Support Squadron fitness center at 777-2761 or 777-2762.
