Joint emergency response exercise held in advance of Hill air, space show

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Emergency response personnel from Hill AFB and the surrounding communities came together May 9 to test their ability to jointly respond to a major accident.

The exercise was held at Hill AFB in preparation for the Warriors Over the Wasatch Air and Space Show coming up June 23-24.

The exercise revolved around a simulated aircraft mishap.

Emergency response activities involved nearly 30 emergency response agencies, including local hospitals, fire departments, law enforcement and emergency operation centers.

Hill AFB held its last air show in June 2016. Hundreds of thousands of people attended what has become the largest single event in the state of Utah.
