Hill fighter wings have Early Thanksgiving

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah — Thanksgiving came early for the 419th Fighter Wing and 388th Fighter Wing as hundreds of Airmen gathered for a feast Nov. 17.

Hangar 37, used daily for F-35 maintenance, was transformed into a banquet hall for Reserve and active duty Airmen and their families. Local businesses provided turkey, side dishes, and desserts, while civic leaders chipped in to help serve and clean up.

Col. David Smith, 419th FW commander, encouraged attendees to remember their fellow Airmen who are deployed around the world during the holidays.

The 419th currently has about 100 reservists deployed overseas.
