Ogden ALC welcomes new leadership

The Ogden Air Logistics Complex recently conducted change of command and change of leadership ceremonies for two ALC groups.

The 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group welcomed Col. Jon A. Eberlan as the new group commander. Eberlan is a recent distinguished graduate with a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy, Dwight D. Eisenhower School, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C. 

In his previous assignment, he served as the executive officer to the Commander, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. In that capacity, he assisted and advised the commander in all matters to lead a workforce of 78,000 Total Force Airmen, executing the mission of warfighter support through leading-edge science and technology, life cycle weapon systems management, developmental test and evaluation, and depot maintenance and supply chain management. 

The ALC also assigned Theodore W. Eaton, Director, 309th Commodities Maintenance Group from the deputy director position. Eaton has been with CMXG since 2013. 

As the director, he is responsible for effective operation of a depot repair organization with over 1,700 personnel assigned, and provides maintenance, repair, manufacturing and modification of landing gear, wheels and brakes; hydraulics, pneudraulics, and armament; power systems, gas turbine engines, auxiliary power units, secondary power units, and fuel accessories and controls for nearly all Air Force aircraft weapon systems.

He served for 27 years on active duty in a variety of logistics assignments at both the wing and major command levels. Eaton served as a squadron commander in Air Combat Command and Air Force Materiel Command, and as the group commander of the 366th Maintenance Group at Mountain-Home AFB, Idaho, as well as the 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group at Hill AFB.
